“We had such a fantastic, super chill day at Whiskey Creek Hideout! It’s the perfect spot for families. One of the best parts was how close it is to the boat ramp—very convenient for a day on the water. We arrived when the tide was a bit higher, which was perfect because the kids could still reach the bottom and had a blast swimming and playing near the mangroves. As the tide went out, we just had to be mindful to keep backing the boat up so we didn't get beached, but it worked out great because it uncovered plenty of sand for the kids to build sandcastles. The atmosphere was very respectful; most around us seemed aware that there were families with kids. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing Florida day with the family.”

“This was our first time trying to kayak and chose whiskey creek hideout. The service was perfect, she helped get us setup and situated. We explained that it was our first time and she guided us on the easiest way to navigate. Now I will say that every couple should try kayaking before they get married because trying to communicate on which how to paddle takes a lot of patience! It was harder than we anticipated, we tried the left, right, left, right way... to the you paddle left, I paddle right way... then tried the you paddle, ill steer way... and escalated quickly to the your not doing it right, so just let me do it way. Sooo after an hour, we headed back but not without trying the more narrow area through the mangroves. That was a big mistake on our part because as we kept bumping into the branches, I looked up and saw what I thought were half dollar size spiders everywhere and that's when the screaming and yelling started. We were both swinging our oars around everywhere trying to get away from the mangroves as quickly a humanly possible as if our life depended on it. After that we were absolutely done! So they refunded us for the 2nd hour we had booked, which was very kind. The kayaking company gets an A++ but the mangroves themselves get a big fat negative F! At least we have something to laugh about!”

“Don't miss this South Florida gem! My son and I rented a tandem kayak. We traveled South along whiskey creek all the way to Dania. There is a chance if it is a kow tide that the paddle will be more restricted, we were lucky to have gone coincidentally on high tide. We paddled South while fishing along the way to the docks at Fania pier where we paddled under the bridge to go into the inter coastal. We then paddled North in the inter coastal and fished along the entire trip. Unfortunately it was not the day for fishing, we didn't even catch 1. But we did enjoy the adventure together. There were no mosquitoes at all, it had just rained, were were lucky to go on an overcast day! At the Whiskey creek you can rent paddled boards, single and tandem kayaks, canoes, swim, and get snacks, refreshments, and some comfort food. Right out front you can swim in the lagoon. Come by boat or car or jet ski. The park is a great place to ride your bike along the road during the week. We do!”
